...
I'm no poet.
My pen won't stir you.
But my heart, my heart could tell you of a million drops of mercy,
like dew, fresh and new each morning.
I'm no dancer.
My feet won't move you.
But my heart, my heart could dance you radiant grace,
poured and lavished, warming and lifting.
I'm no artist.
My brush won't dazzle you.
But my heart, my heart could paint faithful love,
powerful enough to shake the earth and gentle enough to wipe away tears.
I'm no author.
My words won't inspire you.
But my heart, my heart could tell you of the Savior, who is Love incarnate.
Who transforms and redeems. Who has rescued me.
I'm no musician.
My songs won't fill your ears.
But my heart, my heart will always sing of Jesus Christ.
His saving grace. First in my heart, and love of my life.

gray, did you write this or is it the lyrics of a song?
no, I wrote it. Isn't it mandatory that every blog have some form of emotional poem?

That was really good! It surprisingly makes sense...Good Job Gray Good Job!!
i don't want to say yes to your question cause then i will have to figure out a poem.........
though yours is good.
Thats really really really well written!
thanks.
Reed, I will never forget the Crave and the fierce humbling we recieved. I still laugh when I think of my floor clearing dance moves.
I remember the crave, that's when i received my crooked finger.....
Also when I saw my 3 classmates realize they were no longer teens, yes they dance like grownups...
and yes I would agree with Reed, the poem does reflect the heart from which it came.
haha I totally forgot about the "Crave". Man that was a hilarious night and I want to say I night I will never forget but I did forget about it....hehehe
Good Stuff!!!
Thanks Gray for sharing that poem. Well said.
Well done. Better still: well put.
Paul, Chris was a teen
THANKFULLY...Chris somewhat redeemed himself with the action of putting on another crave at the Gothic Arches. And may I take the liberty and say it came out very successful??? I believe so!
Well said Christian. And very true. I'd also like to point out that Paul would have totally been dancing too if the music had been "Flock of Seagulls" or some other 80's jam.
HAHA, it is so true
Beautiful poem Ms. Gillies. Great to see you this weekend. You brighten my day whenever I see you, which is not often enough.
Peace.
